Berkeley | Valentines Day

February 27, 2026

Every year I do a calendar for my family + my in laws. This year I started opening up my sets to include clients if they wanted to jump in. Nothing formal, but I figure, if I am going to take the time to set it up for my kids, maybe someone else would want to jump in on the fun… and Ms. Berkeley was one of those kiddos.

I love that mom let her bring her own little camera to take a photo of me, while I was taking pictures of her. Here’s a handful of images from her gallery.

St. Patricks Day is next .. if you’re in the Metro Detroit area and want to get your kiddo involved in one of my sets throughout the year for our personal calendar, let me know! I’d love to include you!

Hiiiii Again!

February 23, 2026 in newborn photography, michigan family photograp, family photography, cake smash photography

Hiiiii! I am trying to be better about actually showing my face so people actually know who I am. I am a millennial through and through and you can never take the mirror pictures away from. Sorry not sorry!

I will forever take a mirror selfie when there’s a mirror, I also know so many song lyrics I should not remember but alas, here we are but I cannot remember why I walked into a room.

I want to live in the city but also have land and never have to see anyone ever and I love our slower lifestyle.

Thats all this time, thanks for being here.

xoxo

Savanna | Newborn

February 13, 2026 in newborn photography, newborn photoshoot

This little girl was an absolute dream baby. I did a full session inside their home and while I was setting up, she was just chilling! I had grandma feed her once I arrived and she stayed asleep, until I started trying to pose her. HOWEVER, I have been doing posed, studio newborn photography as a niche for the past 6 years consistently so I asked mom if I could give her one more ounce of food, she said yes, and she was OUT! I was able to knock out my entire table workflow in less than 45 minutes with 3 blanket colors, which is unheard of in the newborn world.

She was close to a growth spurt (there is usually one around 13-15 days at the 2 week mark) so before I started wrapping her, we gave her another ounce of milk.

I went through my entire wrapped workflow + then we ended with some lifestyle images in the living room and nursery.

Full sessions are probably my favorite because they give a laid back and technical element to them.

Megan | Maternity

February 09, 2026 in Maternity Photography

Choosing a maternity session during the colder months doesn’t mean compromising on beauty or comfort.
In fact, studio maternity sessions offer one of the most relaxed and intentional experiences—especially during winter.

A studio allows us to control light, temperature, and pacing so you never feel rushed or uncomfortable. There’s no worrying about the weather, layering bulky coats between photos, or cutting sessions short because it’s too cold. Instead, you’re welcomed into a warm, private space where we can focus fully on flattering angles, thoughtful posing, and creating timeless images that highlight this season of motherhood.

Vivian | Smash Cake

February 06, 2026 in cake smash photography, milestone session

Girls + Bows - Is there anything better? This is the final chapter in Vivians Bean Sprout Package (My First Year). This package began with a newborn session, followed by a sitter session and finally, her smash + splash.

Mom wanted something simple but to include the banner she used for her oldest daughter, so we added some bows + balloons and kept it super simple.

The best part about choosing me to capture your Smash + Splash session, is that I plan and style everything. You choose the theme, I take care of the rest. From cake to outfits to planning your set, you just show up with baby day of your session. No stress on your end!

My style is simple but to theme. If you choose a theme, you’ll be able to tell what it is but I want your baby to still be the focus of your session. I love those extravagant smash and splash sets, but I feel like they overtake your child, and the set becomes more important than your baby turning one. So I keep it simple.

I am currently booking Bean Sprout Packages through the summer and end of this year. If you had a newborn session with me and want to capture a Cake Smash, feel free to shoot me an email! Lets start planning your session.

Lexi | Maternity

February 02, 2026 in Maternity Photography, newborn photography, michigan family photograp, family photography

Pregnancy during the colder months carries a different kind of beauty. It’s quieter. Slower. More inward.
A season where you’re nesting, waiting, and preparing your heart for the life about to enter it.

Winter doesn’t mean this chapter should go undocumented.

A studio maternity session creates space for intention that is free from cold temperatures, unpredictable weather, and rushing through discomfort. It’s warm. Calm. Private. A place where you can slow down, breathe, and be fully present in your body and your story. Soft light, thoughtful posing, and a peaceful environment allow us to focus on what truly matters: you and the life you’re growing.

Cameron | Petite Newborn

January 30, 2026 in newborn photography, newborn photoshoot

Mr. Cameron! I was actually fortunate enough to have photographed his birth and then his Mom’s decided on a newborn session as well. He was SOOO good for his newborn session and it was so great being able to capture both these moments for his Mamas.

CameronNewborn-8.jpg
CameronNewborn-1.jpg
CameronNewborn-14.jpg

They booked a petite newborn session which is a wrapped, baby only session. This session includes 3 wrapping techniques and I can either come to you or you can come to me and I can set up in my home. You choose 2-3 colors for me to use during your session, but I bring everything from flooring to wraps + bonnets/sleepy caps and headbands for girls. You have a small prep guide to prepare your home + get baby ready for their session, but overall, I take away the stress of your session and plan everything.

Grace | Maternity

January 26, 2026

First off, Belle Isle is 100% underrated especially this little “hidden” gem of a garden by the clock tower. Second, this was one of my favorite maternity sessions of 2025.

Then, once the sun went down a little more, we headed over to the east side of the isle and went to the beach! Would you believe me if I told you that we had to FIGHT for space and that I ended up editing out so many people from these images!? (Millennial LOL!).

Lauren | Family

January 23, 2026

I absolutely loved this session and this family. Mama wanted to make sure her husband was able to get some good images of him and his daughters as well as their whole family unit. We mixed some candids/prompts with some strict poses - which is honestly how I run all my family sessions, so you get the best of both worlds.

And in all Nina fashion of a family session, I always take time to make sure I capture just mom and dad because I think it is the most important. Some of the first things we forget to do when we have a family (and I am not saying this couple has) is to prioritize our marriage because we are so worried about the kids. But I make it a point during my sessions to prioritize your marriage. So, do not be alarmed if I ask you and your spouse for some images of just you during your session.

Beach mini with some of my favorite ladies! I have been photographing this family since their oldest was one! Brittany quickly went from client to friend and our girls love hanging out.

I am bringing back beach minis again in 2026 and I could not be more excited about it. I try to do these the third or so weekend of July at Stony Creek Metropark on a Friday night! I might also try and get some creek minis at Rochester Municipal this year as well, so stay tuned!

Marisa + Anthony | Engagement

January 16, 2026

The one thing I really love about engagement sessions is that they showcase you! Marisa and Anthony had one of their first dates at Yates Cider Mill and then Anthony proposed there as well. So having their engagement session at Yates was only fitting.

We started on the trail with some more traditional and posed images before they both got warmed up.

Then we obviously had to get some cider and donuts because what trip to the cider mill ends without donuts and cider? None. The ONLY correct answer is none.

Are you getting married in 2026 or 2027? I’d love to be considered for your engagement session and/or your wedding!

I got my camera out to grab some cute videos of my girls playing in the snow …. My husband came out and started a snowball fight with the girls. I am not mad the result! Blake's Hard Cider | Branding

January 09, 2026

Before this session, I had been asked to do a couple sessions to just photograph some new beers they had coming out. This was so much fun though! I absolutely loved working with their marketing team to get this branding session for their winter merch drop!

Branding sessions should not only showcase your brand/merch, but also how you would wear them, how they can be styled etc. I loved that they had some t shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies and beanies for this drop!

BlakesMerch1.25-61.jpg

This winter, book your branding session! Whether you have a merch line, product or you offer a service. Branding sessions are about capturing your business, what you do and who you service. They should be updated at least once a year, if not multiple times a year for people to know who you are, what you do and what kind of business you have.

This winter I am offering a Branding Refresh session that is designed to help you show up with intention. Included in the brand refresh:

  • Pre Session brand consult

  • 1 hour session with 2 looks

  • A gallery full of images you can actually use for social media, your website and marketing.

This year, lets turn your business visuals into something that works for you by attracting your dream clients and elevating your online presence.

Head over to my contact page to snag a date before they’re gone! In the “Anything I Should Know” box leave a “Branding Refresh” comment + your overall vision so when we schedule our consult I have some info to go off of.

Can’t wait to help you refresh your brand this winter!

Heyyyy! It's Me, Again: Nina

January 05, 2026

Hi Again. I am so bad at blogging but I am trying really hard. But its the first Monday of 2026 so lets see if I can make blogging consistent this year!? I have so many sessions from last year I need to blog and just havent so lets do another intro!

Hiii! I am Nina! The face you’re going to see at your sessions + your weddings. My husband and I will be celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary in March, which is crazy that it’s been that long but also seems so short at the same time, which is probably a good thing? We have 3 little girls (who are not so little anymore) and I homeschool them.

We have a pretty slow lifestyle and prioritize family and Jesus/church over everything. I do not schedule sessions on Sunday mornings, Monday nights or Wednesday nights because we have church, prayer or Bible Class. Jesus is the center of all the things I do around here, so I do my best to make sure I can make it to church as often as possible.

When I’m not at sessions, homeschooling, or at church I am learning grandma hobbies or at the gym. I started canning a couple years ago but this past year we really started to do more and more to become more self sufficient when possible. We plan on starting a bigger garden this year too - We have had some bad luck but have been doing a lot of research so in Jesus name, this will be the year we have a great garden!

I also really love to read and between all of that, I managed to read 103 books last year!

Questions? Let me know! I cannot wait to capture a session for you this year.

Okay, Okay, get all your “Friends” references out now! They are not related + they are in LOVE! Actually these two were so adorable and I loved capturing their day. Telesha + Jon [Vow Renewnal]

October 17, 2025 in wedding photography

When Telesha + Jon asked me to photograph their vow renewal, I was elated! It was for their 20th wedding anniversary and they were having a private vow exchange on the beach up north on Lake Michigan. The “ceremony” was nothing short of love filled, God centered, prayerful and not a dry eye left the beach.

We started the day with all the girls (not pictured) going to downtown Petosky to do touristy things. Then went back to the house to get ready. We did a first look at the tunnel of trees and dodged SOO many cars in the process, but it was 100% worth it and I would 100% do it again.

Kelsey + Chris [Wedding]

October 13, 2025 in wedding photography

This wedding kicked off my entire wedding season this year and it was honestly such a good wedding experience. My second, Emily, and I showed up to witness Kelsey finish getting ready and do all the detail shots. Then we went to the venue for the first look. It rained, then it stopped. It rained, then it stopped. But we were able to have the ceremony outside as planned, and capture all the family portraits before it started to rain again.

Once the reception was on it’s way and we all ate, we stole the couple to go to the pier with an umbrella, because rain, and captured some amazing photographs on the pier with a back light, some flashes + an umbrella in the rain. What should’ve been sunset, was rain + an umbrella but the images turned out so good and they’re unique to their wedding, which I love.

August 22, 2025 in family photography

One of my all time favorite things about owning this business is the clients that continue to choose me over and over again to capture their memories and big moments. This family has been with me since their maternity session with Miss Charlotte, wedding, and now baby #2. I am soo thankful for this business, for the connections I have made and overall people trusting me with their memories to have them forever.

Currently booking newborns + maternity sessions into 2026 already, which is WILD. I cannot believe we are almost done with summer.

There’s just something about that mom girl glow that intensifies with baby giggles and baby snuggles.

This was a motherhood mini session but I always try to do mom + babies only during full and petite family sessions too. I think having images of just you and your babies is so important. So catch me always throwing dad to side for a minute (and he doesnt care anyway! he likes a break!).

I am fully booked for June but booking into October for outdoor sessions. Head on over to my shop page to book your family session!

Memorial Day

May 26, 2025

It’s Memorial Day and so many people think that this is another Veterans Day, it is not. Today is the day we remember all the men + women that gave it ALL for us to live in our country. It is not a day to thank our Veterans, and most of them do not want to be thanked today because if they served over seas at all, they probably lost a friend or two that they are grieving today. So today, pray for the families that lost loved ones. Today, pray for the families that never got a real chance to say goodbye. Pray for the families that had to find out that their spouse was killed in duty because uniformed men and/pr women showed up to their door to tell them.

Today, remember those families + pray for them, and wait until November for Veterans Day to say thank you to those that made it back and/or are still serving.

Enjoy your BBQs and kick of to summer, but just remember what today really is about.
